Its tributaries are suitable sites for adventure sports like kayaking and rafting. Among them we mention Quijos Jatunyacu, Misahualli, and Ansu, rivers that are characterized by difficulties with a variety of routes (class I to class V) and a beautiful landscape full of surprises. Along the Napo River and its tributaries have become one of the favorite places for lovers of water sports (kayaking, rafting) worldwide.

Itinerary

Detailed Itinerary
• Day 1: Jumandi Caves/ Tena/ Night al a lodge in the Jungle
Kayaking and Rafting EcuadorOur adventure starts in the city of Quito, approximately at 10:00 am bound for the eastern region of Ecuador. Our first destination are Jumandy Caves, rock formations with figures that resemble images of animals, birds, plants and any figures your imagination can create. The darkness and the eternal guardians (bats) of the cave are ready to welcome us. Ideal for your first pictures and footage of beautiful landscapes of the Ecuadorian Highlands and large formations of rainforest, natural waterfalls and majestic canyons. 
• Day 2: Rafting Class III Jatunyacu/ Short hike in Jungle/ Camping in front of the Napo River

The start of the second day of adventure is at Jatunyacu River (River of big waves) where we will test your skills to maneuver your kayak or teamwork in the rafting. The route is rated with a difficulty of Class III. The journey continues downstream for approximately two hours to reach the junction of the Napo river Anzu. At night after a walk through the jungle you will share moments of relaxation with our guides and natives of the riverside area.
• Day 3: Rafting Class III-II/ Hike to the Latas Waterfall/ Night at Cotococha Lodge/ Hike by night

On the third day we will have further action, doing more kayaking or rafting on the Rio Anzu, with stretches of difficulty II and III. In the evening we will walk by the Ecological Cotococha Area to see tropical animals that can only be viewed under the sunset.
 
• Day 4: Kayak-Raft Ride CLASS II/ Misahualli Monkeys/ Spend a night with a traditional Kichua Family

To relax your muscles after two days of heavy wear on the fourth day, we will do some kayaking or rafting class II. At night you will share moments of interaction with an Aboriginal community (Quechua) to learn their customs, traditions and legends of great spirits and gods of the forest
• Day 5: Kayak-Raft Ride CLASS II/ Animal Reserve/ Indigenas Museum

The fifth day of the expedition paddle up to the Cotococha ecological reserve, where you can observe animals and fauna and practice the ancient techniques of hunting with blowguns. Then paddle hard to the camp Campanacocha can prepare your bags out of the jungle to the city of Tena to rest.
Our climb will begin at about one in the morning. As all normal big Ecuadorian volcanoes routes, this is also quite physically demanding. After a 30 degree rocky and ashy slope, we’ll enter the glacier area and the several 30 to 45 degrees slopes that will take us to the edge of the one of most impressive crater formations.
• Day 6: Hot Springs Papallacta/ Drive back to Quito

The last day of your adventure we will go to the town of Papallacta, where you can enjoy moments of relaxation in thermal water pools, from the bowels of the earth and then return to Quito.
