 Ecuador is an ideal place to learn how to kayak in soft water for its numerous rivers; but the biggest advantage is to learn by kayaking in tropical whitewater rivers.
Our kayak course aims to teach you all the skills necessary to safely practice this wonderful sport while having a lot of fun. Among other issues we will be learning the paddling and roll techniques, rescue techniques, commonly used signals, stability practices on the kayak, body motion while in rapids, and from the beginning yet in the river. We always dedicate time to river exploration practices, as a unique opportunity to put in real practice your abilities, have fun and get to know some of the most amazing tropical whitewaters rivers of the world. * You will have a professional instructor by your side at all times
* You will learn how to read the river currents and how to take the waves in your kayak.
* Roll a kayak [ Eskimo Roll ] training.
* Basic River Rescue techniques.
* Paddling style is emphasized in this training.
* You have two options for Kayak classes: Two days and Four days
* Four day training is recommended. More time practicing with an expert makes a big difference in your style and comfort.
* Training intensity is tuned to your comfort level. If you are a natural we might be running rapids that afternoon!
* We start with flat water and we end the training with an II+/ III river section.
* Each day you will have a riverside lunch. |

| Detailed Itinerary |
 From Quito we will go to our starting learning point. Depending on the river conditions and the skill level of our practitioners, we will go to one or another river. Those conditions will shape the course. We may even start learning some basic techniques in a swimming pool before plunging in a river, in order for you to get more confident. But don’t worry, you will be most of the time in wild rivers learning while real practicing under the close supervision of our instructors. A list of rivers that are usually ideal to take the course are: Quijos, Caoni, Baba, Misahualli, Toachi and Blanco.
 Previous to your departure, we will check out your preferences and kayaking skill levels to define your itinerary more precisely. In your particular itinerary you will have the opportunity to paddle in some of these rivers while getting to know the Ecuadorian Amazon Jungle and its culture.
Keep in mind that Ecuador has quickly earned an exceptional reputation in the world of kayaking and rafting. It has the greatest variety of rivers per square mile than anywhere else on earth.
Filled with kayaking knowledge and the satisfaction of having learned new techniques or improved them, the course will come to an end and we will return to Quito, hopefully leaving you with a huge smile in your face. |
