Detailed Itinerary
• Day 1:
Ecuador Rock Climbing, Sport Riobamba
This first day you arrive in Quito. After the check-in in your hotel and rest a little from your flight, you are going to have a meeting with the tour guide, who is the person that came with you all along the trip. Then you have some free time to get yourself confortable or if you prefer visit touristic places or take a walk around the area.

After breakfast, We drive into the heart of colonial Quito. This city is home to an array of beautiful cathedrals, elegant old mansions, interesting museums, squares and parks. This outstanding cultural, architectural and artistic heritage led Quito to be declared the first Cultural World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1978

• Day 2
Ecuador Rock Climbing, Sport Riobamba

After breakfast, We drive into the heart of colonial Quito. This city is home to an array of beautiful cathedrals, elegant old mansions, interesting museums, squares and parks. This outstanding cultural, architectural and artistic heritage led Quito to be declared the first Cultural World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1978

  After lunch, you will drive approx. 25 km North of Quito to the Mitad del Mundo where stands the 30 meters tall monument, where is marked the latitude 0º 00’ 00” In this unique place you will have a lot of fun jumping from the northern to southern hemisphere of the planet. This tour includes a visit to the Ethnographic Museum on site. Return Hotel. B/L
• Day 3
Cloud Forest Ecuador Pioneer Journeys
Located at 2 hours to the north west of Quito, is the wonderful and renowned rain forest of Mindo. We will appreciate the amazing changes in vegetation only 40 minutes outside Quito, as we descend from 2800 m to 1600m until the arrival at Mindo. Also you will appreciate the huge variety of fauna in the region including armadillo, deer, sahino pig, cuy de monte, skunk, squirrel, agouti, guanta, ocelot, lion, snakes, amphibians, butterflies and some 500 species of bird including sparrow hawk, hummingbirds, cock of the rock and toucan. As well as providing home for the animals, the regions beautiful rivers and waterfalls also provide a setting for water sports including rafting and kayaking.

There are opportunities to do many activities such as: to visit the Butterfly Sanctuary or the Orchid Orchard, after which we will have the choice between canopy or tarabita. During the afternoon we make our way to Sachatamia, where we spend the night refreshed and revitalised after an evening meal.
• Day 4
Ecuador Rock Climbing, Sport Riobamba
Our day begins with a visit to the famous Indigenous market of Otavalo. Ecuador is world-renowned for its native-crafts markets, and the best-known, Otavalo. Otavalo’s master weavers worked their looms long before the Spaniards, or even the Incas. Ponchos, sweaters are the staples of Otavalo’s market, and are among the visitors’ favorite purchases. In full swing by 7 a.m., Otavalo’s market is also ablaze with colorful tapestries and rugs from other weaving centers. In the afternoon, we will visit the town of Cotacachi, known for its leather goods, and then off to a visit to the impressive lake of Cuicocha, created by a crater.

Following this our trip continues to Papallacta where we have our evening meal and spend the night in Termas de Papallacta.  Return Hotel
