Itinerary

Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1: Limpiopungo

From Quito we leave to Hacienda El Porvenir where we expect beautiful horses and qualified native and professional guides for our adventure. The ride starts from the slopes of the volcano Rumiñahui through agricultural fields until the moor high lands. We visit the “Chusigmachai” or refuge of the owl and continue towards Limpiopungo Lagoon where you can observe rare local flora and Andean birds. Return to Hacienda El Porvenir. Time: 6 hours. Overnight at Hacienda El Porvenir

• Day 2: Pucará del Salitre

After breakfast we head to the northern entrance of Cotopaxi National Park. The ride takes us to the Pucara del Salitre where we take our lunch beside the slopes. We continue the trip to Santo Domingo Lagoon. Camp near the Laguna de Santo Domingo. Approximate Time: 7 hours.

• Day 3: Laguna de Santo Domingo

After breakfast by the pool, we mount horses and begin the journey of the day. We cross the moors field of the National Park and continue along the high road of the channel. Stunning views of the surroundings will surprise us. Return to Hacienda El Porvenir. Lunch. Approximate time: 5 hours. Transfer to Quito.
