Overview
This short climbing program is suitable for climbers with some experience looking for further instruction or simply a great sport climbing experience in the unique volcanic rock cliffs of Ecuador. Emphasizing safety, instruction, knowledge and fun, this program will guide you to the best sport climbing cliff near Quito: Cuyuja. With more than 50 routs ranging from 5.9/6a to 5.13b/8a, it is located two hours from Quito to the west, right in the entrance of the Amazon influential ecosystem. Guiding you to the routs of your preference, all gear is provided and we take care of all logistics in order for you to have the best climbing experience while getting to know this spectacular of the Andes. If we have clear sky, we’ll see the astonishing snowed caped volcano of Antisana. Pioneer Journeys rock climbing guides are the best in the country. Most of them have personal experience on rock climbing routes around the world and have equipped many routs in the areas you are going to visit. Detailed Itinerary

• Day 1:

Ecuador Mountain Climbing Tours Ruco Pichincha Volcano

We leave Quito in the morning from your hotel to the village of Cuyuja. In our way, we’ll pass though the colorful and spectacular high lands of Papallacta. After two hours drive, we will get to Cuyuja, we get all our staff prepared and walk for five minutes to reach the base of the volcanic cliff for a hole day climbing. At dark, we’ll head to our nearby hotel for a strong dinner.

• Day 2:

Rock Climbing Trips to Cuyuja Ecuador Sport rock climbing tours

We will spend the hole day climbing in Cuyuja. Thera are plenty of routs and grades, so we assure you fun. At dark, we’ll have diner and go to the luxury thermal springs of Papallacta to get relaxed and recovered from this two days of hard climbing. Hot natural pools surrounded by wild nature at 10,000ft/3000m: it is a must!

• Day 3:

Rock Climbing Trips Ecuador Sport rock climbing tours

As a final day, we’ll have the opportunity to try once more your climbing projects you have left or try your last on sight challenges. In the evening we will head back to Quito and leave you at your hotel for a deserved rest, dinner and to get prepared for your next activity in Ecuador.
